A behavior assessment is a 25-minute evaluation that test your dog’s ability in common scenarios. We use this assessment to discuss different behaviors your dog may have, as well as test your dog’s skills! Each behavior assessment contains 5 scenarios that are graded on a scale of 1 to 3, based on the ability to handle each different scenario
Loose Leash Walking: Owners control their dogs for a simple loose leash walk around the facility. The goal is to not have your dog go in front of you or pulling you at any time during the walk.
Monitored Separation: Dogs are left alone or with another staff member for 5 minutes, to test their ability to cope without being around who they love most. This allows us to see if any pressing separation anxiety issues are present right away. This is to help evaluate a starting point for your dog. Having a great starting point allow us to watch and track their growth as they improve over time at The Club. In addition, the behavior assessment ensures we meet every dog that comes to the Club. This way, there are never any dogs visiting that we have not personally met and assessed. It allows us to create a safer environment for ever dog and owner visiting.
